Top 10 Blake Griffin Dunks

The 2011 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest is just around the corner, Blake Griffin is undoubtedly the runaway favorite unless Javale Mcgee does a 360 between the legs while juggling chain saws throw down. To give you an idea of what we can expect to see from the NBA golden child, here’s a top 10 list of Blake Griffin’s dunks.

10. Bringing it back to the old school, here’s Griffin back in the McDonalds All American dunk contest taking a page out of Kenny Smith’s back to the basket between the legs dunk but with a windmill.

9. Blake Griffin with one of his power slams back in Oklahoma State. This dunk is really amazing if you look at how far he took of from, the power in the throw down, and how easy he made it look.

8. Here’s an alley opp from Randy Foye which was thrown bit higher than he’d want it, not a problem for Griffin as he almost hit’s his head on the rim throwing with the slam.

7. Here’s a clip of Griffin during the Summer League dunking over 3 players.

6. Ok this isn’t the highest quality video and it’s only 7 seconds long but what you want to watch is the 360 against the grain warm up dunk Griffin does around the 5 second mark. Don’t mind the Chris Kaman cameo.

5. This would’ve possibly been the sickest dunk by a human if it had been completed. This is Blake Griffin with a dunk attempt on a fast break over Rodney Stuckey. In the slow mo you can notice at one point Blake trying to dunk the ball with his wrist. This guy is just plain sick.

4. Here’s Blake Griffin posterizing DJ Mbenga, what I find funny is Mbenga trying to put blame on Adam Morrison who was guarding someone in the perimeter.

3. This is probably the first dunk I’ve ever seen Blake Griffin do, it was against the New Orleans Hornets during pre-season. The dunk was sick, however Blake was injured during the play which caused him to miss that season. Still a monster slam nonetheless.

2. Blake Griffin’s first NBA basket was nothing else but an alley oop dunk. The force is strong with this one.

1. Probably his most famous dunk for the time being is his slam over the Knicks center Timofey Mozgov. 3 feet from the basket it’s more of a monster throw into the basket rather than dunk. Timofey Mozgov should be appreciative of all the free press Griffin has given him.
