2007 NBA Slam Dunk Contest winner and former Boston Celtics Gerald Green, who now plays for the Foshan Dralions of Chinese Basketball Association erupted for 41 points against the Shanghai Sharks on November 11th, 2011.
Not known for his outside range while playing in the NBA, Green connected for 8 treys while being guarded most of the time by former NBA D-League MVP Mike Harris.
Although his form isn’t exactly Ray Allenisque, if he can hit that stroke at least semi-consistently along with a decent jumper, I can see him getting one more shot at the big league. His athleticism is just so ridiculous to not see him in the NBA. Remember the birthday cupcake dunk? Hopefully this guy gets it together to give it one more run.
What are your impressions of the 2011 Geral Green?
